Beef Stroganoff     Info
  • 3 lbs. Round Steak (or other tender cut of meat), cut into small pieces
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 2-3 Tbsp. Oil
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • ⅓ to ½ cup finely chopped Onion
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 3-4 drops Tabasco Sauce
  • 2 cans Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 2 cans Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 2 cups Sour Cream
  • Cooked Noodles or Spaghetti
  • Parmesan Cheese (optional)

     Coat the meat with the flour and brown in hot oil. Add garlic and onion and cook until onion is clear. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce and soups. Simmer on medium-low heat for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring frequently. Add sour cream and serve over noodles with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.

     Can be made as a casserole: stir noodles into meat mixture after the sour cream, then pour into baking dish. Cover with buttered crumbs and/or parmesan cheese. Bake at 350° until the top is slightly brown.

     Can add mushrooms - fresh or canned. This recipe is excellent to use with moose meat.
